PRESENTATION OF NEW PARMA FC COACH DOMENICO DI CARLO
(JUNE 14) New Parma FC coach Domenico Di Carlo and his staff (assistant coach Roberto Murgita, Goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi and Athletic Preparation coach Giovanni Brignardello) were presented this morning, Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Collecchio Sports Centre, by President Tommaso Ghirardi (flanked by Sports Direcotr Gabriele Zamagna Technical Area Director Andrea Berta). At the press conference, Di Carlo said: 'I would like to coach players who always believe in the result, right until the end, who have hunger, a desire to improve, who don't make calculations because here it needs running and battling to have a good league position. Parma survived last year on the last day so we need to start well and not wait a few months because the run-ins do not always end in the right way. We have to be tough from the opening day. The right characteristics are: great character, great determination, never give up. The team has to have its identity, its own mentality and above all, a togetherness: we just need to talk about Parma. Everyone needs to do something for Parma. Mentality and performance: these are the main principles I expect to arrive at the objectives that we want. I don't want ups and downs: it needs a balance, we always have to arrive at having an excellent condition, without peaks. If you lose four games in a row it's difficult to have credibility: you have to be balanced in the victories and defeats. I play four at the back which is a strong starting point but I like to change things to offer opponents fewer points of reference.'

PARMA 2007-08 SEASON TICKETS
President Tommaso Ghirardi spoke from the kick-off of Parma FC's 2007-08 season ticket campaign: ‘Parma have retained the best players from this year. Igor Budan, Andrea Gasbarroni, Damiano Ferronetti, Antonio Bocchetti and Francesco Parravicini were very expensive operations. Now we are analysing all of the possible moves. However, the fans must snatch up the season tickets right away without waiting to see the good affect because they believe in the club and the team.
‘We are asking for the support of the fans and their great enthusiasm for this side can now be manifested with a season ticket as that is really important for us both on an economic level as well as an incentive for our work. A club like Parma deserves to have at least 15,000 season ticket holders. I am expecting a great response.
‘Our only focus is on the passion for this sport and our fans. I will spend every bit of money at my disposition to have the best players for Parma. The more season ticket holders there are, the more satisfying it will be for the fans. This is the message that the fans must understand. If they want some promising young athletes, then they must make their small contribution as well.’
